A Morning With Sir Thaddeus Toad

This little fellow spent the morning sitting outside our side door. He very kindly let the children express their excitement without seeming the least bit disturbed. We have dubbed him Thaddeus. Sir Thaddeus Toad, Esq. to be exact. I can tell by his looks that he is of the intellectual sort. If you zoom in, you can see he has a slightly annoyed look. I’m quite sure it has no connection with the toddler that was screaming in his face. (Although he may have been a trifle miffed at her for calling him a frog.) I rather think he had an unpleasant morning at court. I saw a lizard squirm past, and I’m sure he caused our toad’s sour face. Most certainly it was a dispute over property lines. Those lizards seem to be everywhere. In fact, I’m sure I saw a very large one heading out to the other side of the garden, and I am certain he was the judge in the case. This is such an obvious example of conflict of interest it’s no wonder poor Thaddeus needed some time out on our sunny rock. However, he looks like such a determined fellow, I’m sure he plans to appeal.
